A Little Bear To Warm Your Heart On A Cold Morning

I am tired and in pain this morning so my update will be short. I have not slept well in several days because of my pain and at this point I am praying for warmer weather in the hopes that it will at least lessen the intensity of the pain I am feeling almost 24 hours a day. I am taking my meds exactly as prescribed , staying out of the cold, trying to stay as relaxed and calm as possible but nothing is helping right now.

Okay, enough of my complaining! Today I am posting another little PP with an Irish flair. This little guy has to be one of my favorites of all time. I hope you guys like him, too :)

As We Go Into Another Cold Spell...

Two posts in two days? Wow! I am on a roll. Actually, the truth would be that I am feeling awful today and am looking for stuff to keep my mind off of that. Look out now - I am about to post a layout! The first one on my blog! I thought this one was appropriate since the temperature here with be in the 20 degrees by 5 p.m.

Time for another post - though I am sad to say there is no good news to report where my condition is concerned. Actually , the past few days have been awful. Right now I am taking so much pain medication I feel like I will never know another fog-free day. For now it is just taking things one day, and sometimes even one step at a time, until this cycle of pain ends, or at least lessens. On to happier events - it is getting closer to one of my most favorite times of the year. St. Patrick's Day!! Being as Irish as I am, I love this holiday. I am probably the only one around who has half a closet full of shirts made just for the occasion :) In honor of the holiday I am so looking forward to I am posting two of my favorite little Irish bears. For those of you who share my love of St. Patrick's day, have a beer for me - I can't drink on my meds -and don't worry I have plenty more Irish things to post! For those of you who don't get the hype - it's okay - we can't all be Irish :) Just kidding!!! I am just trying to add a little smile to my otherwise painful day.

More Spring Paper Piecings

I guess I should have named this blog the all paper piecing blog because that is all I seem to put up here :) I missed posting last week because I have a terrible time with my pain. It was just to hard for me to think about scrapbooking when the pain was so bad I could not eat. It's one way to lose weight but not a way I would recommend. Moving on to happier things - check out my baby chicks, hatching just in time for the upcoming season. Aren't they cute!? I love them so much I have made them for the last three Easter's and given them away to my scrapbooking friends. They are quick and so easy to make. The longest part is tearing the paper for the chick's body. A little water and a thin paint brush was all I needed for that. I do recommend using a think paper, maybe something textured. I hope to be able to try them with Mulberry paper this weekend and maybe get a little more of a 'fuzzy' look. Let me know what you think! I love reading your posts!
