Ice , Sleet, Snow, and Bunnies?

Okay, I am sick of winter. It is too cold -I can't leave my house right now because when I do my pain shoots up and it's pain killer time. I am getting sick, too :( I have a brutal sore throat and feel very tired. Spring and Easter seem very far away right now. Even so, I have been working on a few Easter things to try and brighten my afternoons. I hope you all like them.

I have been cleaning out my scrapbook files this week while I am battling some pretty horrendous facial and mouth pain. I have found some really cute items I made last winter and forgot all about. These are some of my favorites - I made tons of the BEE MINE sets and gave all of them away but one. The little white tear bear holding the pink heart I only made one of, didn't think I liked it at the time and gave it away. Now I wish I hadn't because I like her a lot and I can't seem to find my pattern for her. Live and learn I guess. Always keep one of everything you make for yourself! As always, if you see something here you can't live without leave a comment with you email addy and if I still have the pattern I will email it to you. If you want me to make something for you I would be glad to do that, too, only there will be some cost involved for time and supplies.

24 Below and Scrappin'!!

Okay! It is freezing, literally, where I live! With my condition this means I am stuck inside :( In a perfect world that would be mean a lot of time to scrap and make more paper piecings ( my favorite embellishment in case you have not noticed yet). Unfortunately , I don't live in a perfect word and my pain has been horrible all week long. Even right now my teeth are killing me. I have not made anything this week except trips to the cabinet for my pain medication, so I am putting up some stuff I made last year. I am praying that next week will be better and I can start scrapping again.

Another Little Creation

Two posts in two days! Well, I would love to say I am feeling great today but that is not the case. I am feeling pretty bad actually. My teeth hurt really bad. I have a ton of pain around my mouth and lips, too. It's hard to talk, hard to eat. I am maxed out on regular medication and pain meds so I am stuck waiting this one out and praying it goes away. I was able to make a few more things yesterday before the pain hit me. I am going to post my favorites.

Thinking Pink And Red The Last Two Days.....

Okay! I have had mostly mild pain the last two days and that means I have been busy making things :) I have been working on some Valentine's Day stuff this week. A few of these things I made last year but gave them all away, so now I am making more. This time I will be sure to keep some things I really like for my own use! Here is something I think is pretty cute.

My Homemade Advent Calendar

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My year is starting off with mimimal pain - that ia a very good thing! Today is traditionally the day my family and I put away the holiday stuff. Not really a day I enjoy - I always think the house looks so plain, but then I remember it's only a few weeks until Valentine's Day! Anyway, I decided I would post a recent project today. This is a homemade Advent Christmas Calendar. With my boys getting older, the typical Advent Calendars we would find in the stores were not appropriate. Wanting to continue the tradition, I decided to make my own. I can't take credit for the original idea for this, a friend gave me the basic idea and I went with it from there. There are 24 pockets, each numbered, each with a tag . I used my Cricut for all of the cutting - it would have taken me years otherwise! I had written some little treat on each tag - no chores for that day, or letting them pick dinner for that night (within reason). Each day a different child would pick the tag for that day. On the 24th, Christmas Eve, there was a tag for each child telling them they could open one small present. These presents were hand picked by my husband and myself. We made sure they were games or something that would keep our very excited boys quiet for at least part of the day so cooking and last minute things could get done mcuh easier. This made for a very quiet and happy Christmas Eve in our home :) This whole idea worked out really well for us, the boys actually looked forward to reading the tags. The best part is that the calendar is reuseable if you can find someplace safe to put it for the year. All you would have to do is change the tags.
