Juat Playing With a New Toy!

I have had the new version of Make the Cut for a few weeks. I started with easier projects but these two were a bit challenege.

The butterfly turned out okay . My camera did not seem to pick up the colors very well.

This is and intricate doily I made for a friend who was having a Valentine's Day party. They turned out well but were very fragile.

Belated Happy Valentine's day!!!

Okay the pictures are not so great but this was my first attempt at Iris folding. All things considered, it turned decent. It's easy so I will be trying this again in more challenging designs. No doubt you will more of this type of project.

So what do ya'all think? I miss your helpful ideas!

Ice, Sleet, Snow And.....

Well, I did what I said I was planing - while the Midwest was pelted with freezing rain, sleet, snow and wind, I tried Iris Folding. All thing considered, I think everything turned out fine. We ended up with 2 inches of sleet, about an inch of ice, and around 11 inches of snow - we kept our power the whole time, though!

Anyway, here is my very first attempt at Iris Folding. It was pretty easy. I think I will be trying some more difficult patterns soon. What do you guys think? I am not done with the card yet, it needs a little something more..any ideas?

A Big Ouch !

Not sure if I posted this before...hope not.. Anyway, this is a layout I did after my son fell and needed 20 stitches. It is pretty simple all things considered. I did sew around the edges of the title and I did hand tore the little bear at the bottom....he might be my favorite PP . Not sure I like the tag at the top any ideas on how to change that?

I am going to try my hand at Iris folding today, while we are getting freezing rain, sleet and snow out here. I will post as soon as I am done...keep in mind, if I don't have power it might be a few days.

Hope you all are having much better weather !

Tried a new project....

Alright, I know it off the scrapbook theme, but I cant 't help being proud of this blanket I made for my son as a birthday present. He loves it! It is huge, thick , warm and just perfect for him since he loves all sports. It was fun and easy to make. Took me only a day!

Let me know what you all think! Should I make more? Or just stick to scrappin'?
