I am pretty late posting this, but I thought it might give some of you who are already thinking about Christmas 2012 some ideas. I made homemade scrapbook calendars as gifts for a lot of friends and family - I just took it a couple steps further to make it something they could keep as a remembrance of the year. Like a year in review, or something. Each month has four pages. The first, of course is a calendar for that particular month. The other pages have room for pictures and journaling, like a normal type scrapbook, but I also added poems, quotes, and pockets for keepsakes. I found this project very fun, if not a little time consuming. It was worth it, though. The calendar scrapbooks turned out to be a huge hit and I already have requests from people to make them again for the next year.

Most of the paper is used is by Karen Foster.

Most of the embellishments are handmade.

I tried to be as creative as possible in the small space I had to work with, without making the pages too busy.

Some months were easier than others, but overall, I think the whole thing turned out pretty well.

Stay tuned for the next three months of pages to be posted soon! And as always let me know what you think!
Dollie..thanks for following my blog. Now I found yours and will be able to follow along to see all of your wonderful projects. I've read about your medical diagnosis and just wanted to say how very sorry I am that you are having to live with this. Pain is not an easy thing to deal with when it is a constant. I will remember to keep you in my prayers. Hugs
